At the Mission we aim to be a voice as we advocate for justice. We aim to help those who have nothing so they may be part of our world and share in its goodness. We aim to take away the loneliness and emptiness that many feel as they live cut off from others.
Te Kete Oranga is a food assistance and advocacy service. The Christchurch Methodist Mission offers group life skills courses (cooking, budgeting, men's groups, literacy and numeracy) for all. Child and family programmes are available up to 13 years of age. Parenting groups and women's groups are also available.
We support communities working for better lives and livelihoods, support humanitarian relief in times of disaster and campaign against the causes of global poverty. We respond to people's needs regardless of race or religion.
