Training and up-skilling is paramount to the professional development of Youth Workers, so throughout the year we organise various training hui and workshops relevant to Youth Workers and their practice. Anyone interested in youth work can attend our training, participants do not have to be members.

In particular, we provide regular training on the CYWC Code of Ethics, as it is a requirement for Youth Workers who want to become members of the Collective to undergo training on the subject of ethical practice in Youth Work.

The Canterbury Youth Workers Collective (CYWC) partners with various agencies and individuals to deliver training, including The Department of Internal Affairs and New Zealand Association for Adolescent Health and Development.
