Our Organisation.

The Canterbury Youth Workers Collective (CYWC) is an organisation that exists to support youth workers by providing professional support, accountability, training, networking opportunities, information and resource sharing.

The Collective works to ensure that youth work in the Canterbury region is carried out in a planned and efficient way by coordinating youth work training and is committed to the development of youth work as a unique and professional practice.

CYWC consists of youth workers in the province of Canterbury, New Zealand and has been an incorporated society since 1986 with a charitable trust status.

We are funded by the Christchurch City Council, the Canterbury Community Trust and the Department of Internal Affairs.

CYWC exists to support youth workers to provide a professional service to the young people they are working with, while promoting that self-care is paramount.
