South Island Youth Workers Hui
Information for Registrants
As you know, we're staying at Blue Skies in Kaiapoi. You can check out their website here - http://www.blueskies.org.nz/
We're staying in the Youth Lodge. Here are some maps pinched from their website.
The Youth Lodge
This is our main space. We've got all of these rooms, and use of the common areas. If we're lucky and there's beautiful weather, we can use the courtyard and all of the other open spaces as well.
As you will see, the rooms sleep different numbers of people There are toilets and showers. We've got a kitchen and dining room, as well as other meeting rooms.
Mostly the meeting rooms will be used for our workshops. The dining area will be used for morning and afternoon tea, but we will quite likely eat meals over in the main complex (see map above).
Feel free to make groups with those you know for sleeping, everyone can just find somewhere on day one.
The Scout Lodge
We are mainly going to be using this space as a workshop area. Unless we get heaps of registrations, then we've got extra space for y'all to sleep.
What to bring:
This is not going to be a comprehensive list, just things that people have asked me. Obviously you bring what you need/want to bring. Here are some suggestions, and if people email me asking about specific things, I'll pop the answers here too.
They tell me there is wifi. I'm not sure whether that's open wifi but certainly it's available for our presenters.
