Elizabeth Magabbo

Ki ora koutou,
My name is Elizabeth Magabbo, and I have been a settlement youth at New Zealand Red Cross for 4 years, working with Refugee, and migrant youth.
Prior to becoming a youth worker, I worked in community radio highlighting ethnic migrant voices, and volunteered for a variety of ethnic youth focused programmes.
I am a passionate youth worker with a special interest in youth development, especially in the areas of amplifying Refugee and migrant voices, creating pathways of equity, and encouraging political participation.
I am a change maker; whose main goal is to contribute to a world where youth voices are not only ‘’heard’’ but taken seriously, and our ideas are implemented into the policies, and laws that affect us.
I am excited to serve this board, and offer my expertise, as well as learn from this experience.
I am open minded, goal driven, and most importantly down to earth, so I encourage new ideas, and I am always open to giving advice.
