Kia ora! Ko Rose toku ingoa, she/her pronouns. I whakapapa to England and St. Helena, but Ōtautahi is home. I have been a kaimahi in several rainbow spaces across Waitaha since 2016 and have a Bachelor of Social Work. I have seen the highs and lows of the industry and have extensive experience in facilitating groups, holding space for rainbow taiohi and their whānau, and advocating in organisations and kura. As we see the rise in taiohi coming out / inviting kaimahi in, we know that more and more kaimahi are informally becoming the rainbow specialist in their team due to their own identity or the skills they hold. Because of this, I am offering a few different options through this space depending on what your needs are; short-term one-on-one consultation sessions to brainstorm curly issues, longer-term organisational consultation, peer support for folks who are experiencing some of the challenges and hostilities associated with holding this space, or more traditional long-term supervision. Happy to tautoko your mahi whether you are at the start of this journey or someone who’s been in the game a while.
