Why be a member?
As a member of Rerenga Awa | Canterbury Youth Workers Collective, you are welcomed into a community that is committed to contributing to the positive development of young people.
Your role and responsibility in this community is to practice under the Code of Ethics (COE) for Youth Work in Aotearoa, New Zealand and will be held externally accountable to this practice.
Rerenga Awa | Canterbury Youth Workers Collective has a Complaints Department & Officers who are available if/when there has been a breach to the COE by you or other members in the community.

What to Expect

All membership applications will have a kanohi ki te kanohi (face-to-face) interview with our Membership Committee. This is a great opportunity to meet and see how we can best support you as well as answer any questions you might have.

Individual memberships MUST complete a Code of Ethics Training prior to membership approval. You may still apply now, but membership will be held until this training is completed.

Our membership team will contact you to organise your interview and help you register for your COE training. All you have to do is use the form below to register your interest.
