Lydia Newlands

Kia ora, my name is Lydia. I currently work for SADD/Kaitiaki o Ara, and my role is the Programme Delivery Team Lead. I've been working for SADD since the beginning of 2019, and am really enjoying being in the youth participation space, supporting rangatahi to make a difference in their own communities, and have a voice. I have been working in the youth work/community development sector since 2011. Working in a range of roles such as in a youth centre running programmes there, working in a high-school doing 24-7 youth work, running a youth group, and residential youth work as well. I'm stoked to be involved with Rerenga Awa giving back to the youth work sector, and hopefully helping continue to strengthen it!
