Richard Chambers

Richard has been on the Rerenga Awa Committee since 2021.

Richard is the Manager of The Youth Hub 109 Salisbury St, Christchurch, a wrap around connector for youth to support, health services and transitional housing. He is an accredited member of Korowai Tupu.

Richard’s career has included being South Island Manager, Programme Delivery & Community at Youthtown, CEO for Haemophilia NZ, School Principal and teacher.

Originally from Murihiku (Southland) he has lived and worked in Southland, Otago and Canterbury. An avid support of “Te Wai Pounamu, the Mainland” He is not afraid to remind people of the incredible benefits of the southern lifestyle. He believes strongly in supporting young people to be who they are, to provide them with awesome opportunities that empower them to find joy and hope.
